Mum of two Karen Broughton was Enchanted Childcare's first Franchisee

In 2010, Enchanted Childcare sold a Trial Franchise in Essex to Karen Broughton, a mother of two who had background in Customer Service and was an Avon representative.

Karen was looking to return to work on a more flexible basis - so that she could work the hours that suited her.

Karen was particularly keen to run her own business; however she was worried about the risks e.g. high set-up costs, brand development, which markets to access, research and much more.

So when Karen was approached by Enchanted Childcare to become their first Franchisee, she leapt at the chance.

Karen says: "I was excited and nervous about the prospect of owning the trial franchise for Enchanted Childcare in Essex and I am still excited every day as my business, and the whole of Enchanted Childcare, goes from strength to strength. I saw the Franchise opportunity as a fantastic way forward for my career and for my family, and it has proved better than I’d even hoped!
